John Chow, you leave me no choice.

I initially paid no attention to use PayPerPost. Earning few dollars here and there are fine, but not when I have to blog to sell out, putting my own credibility on the line, it simply does not interest me.

John Chow, the self-claimed dot com mogul asked for our reviews here using PayPerPost. $5. Neh. Even the latest offer of giving the MiniTV USB from ADS Tech to the best review does not raise my eye brow. But, but. Giving a permanent link back from a blog ranked 1,529 on Technorati? That’s a killer. That’s a Don Corleone type of offer. An offer I (or, any SEO) could not refuse.

Anyway, once I got past that, the review is the easy part. John Chow dot Com has been in my Google Reader list for around three months. He caught my sight first with his Google Whore list. I thought he is just some skank who try to create some linkbait post to attract traffic. I was wrong. On getting to know him more, he is one of the early comer to the Internet scene, Google’s top earner, entrepreneur, supports charity, and eats in an expensive restaurant with his family and only the girlfriends he wished to marry. That earned my respect, especially the last part.

Final words, I admired his honesty, the passion of sharing and giving back to the webmaster community. So Mr.Chow, assuming you are reading this, let me buy you a teh tarik from mamak stall if you happen to drop by Penang next time. ;)

P/s: Payment from PayPerPost is donated to charity - Habitat For Humanity.
